Stephen Boyle


Stephen has spent the last decade working in various financial services roles and is currently head of business architecture at Lloyds Banking Group*. He won the Financial Times/ McKinsey Bracken Bower prize in 2020 for his piece New Money about central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). An accomplished public speaker, Stephen won the Yale intervarsity debating championships, the Irish Times debating competition and is comfortable speaking in a variety of settings including on television, radio, podcasts and at in-person events.

Stephen grew up in Dublin, Ireland, before moving to America for a couple of years. He settled down in London in 2011 and has been there ever since. He lives with his wife, Anna, and his son, Alex.
